Summary
To hide the fact that he’s now an NSB secret agent, Luke pretends to enter a relationship so that his best friend Marius won’t find his sudden, constant absences suspicious. The only problem is that during these sudden, constant absences, Luke is being hammered into a top tier field agent—and the resulting bruises, dark circles, and flinches have Marius fully convinced that Luke’s new “partner” is abusive.
…Which still might have worked, except that Marius von Hagen refuses to let his best friend be abused, especially not when Marius has been in love with Luke for years and is willing to treat him so much better.

“Why are you mad?” Luke asks.
“Who says I’m mad?” Marius asks back. Because really, how could Luke think that Marius is mad? He’s treating Luke with all the pampering he deserves just like a proper lover should, lavishing him with attention and pleasure and praise.
