That buzz at the bottom of it ran right up her spine, and she resisted a shiver. “It is not merely distracting, but disabling; victims of the toxin find that they must act on the smallest of lusts.” There was a growing static between her ears, an inability to think. Thane continued “While theoretically not impossible to resist, most find it very difficult.”

Summary
After leaving Szarr Entertainment in the wake of a tumultuous - deliberately engineered - scandal, Astarion Ancunín has rebuilt his acting career, from the blacklisted ground up. Through a heavily doctored narrative of queer reclamation, he's finally making a name for himself, and hoping to claim prestige (and maybe a few awards) through the leading role in a historical biopic about the openly gay elven oracle, Aerthwyn Capaxath.
The only problem is, Aerthwyn Capaxath is the worst person that ever lived (or died). Just ask Dr. Rosalie Frostsong, a thoroughly unwilling expert on the subject.

Summary
Ever since Carlos was little, he and his daemon have been fans of Dr. Lyra Belacqua. Both as the most groundbreaking experimental theologian of the 20th century, and as the heroine of dozens of fantasy-adventure children's stories (based very loosely on her own mysterious childhood).
But Lyra's true legacy is still bigger than Carlos ever imagined...until he took a team of scholars to study Rusakov particles in the most theologically interesting community in Hispania Nova. Now his own day-to-day life is full of things like angels, witches, hooded spectres, portals between worlds, vague yet menacing branches of the Magisterium, and a man who walks around without his daemon and can read an alethiometer as easily as a stop sign.

“Sizhui, go to the kitchen,” the Yiling Patriarch orders. His charge – Sizhui, Lan Wangji presumes – hesitates but obeys, looking back over his shoulder as he disappears. Apprentice out of the blast zone, the Patriarch storms up to Lan Wangji, eyes flashing red. “Three words: I. Am. Retired.”
Lan Wangji is sent by the Institute to do two things: become the Yiling Patriarch's familiar, and report back his every movement. It does not go how any of them planned.

It was supposed to be a harmless little spell. A curiosity. Now there’s a fifteen-year-old Wei Wuxian waking up in bed beside Lan Wangji – in the future, no less – and a battle-hardened, fully grown Wei Wuxian wreaking havoc in the past, where Jiang Cheng is panicking, Nie Huaisang is flailing, and Lan Zhan is increasingly confused and flustered.
Time travel was not on the syllabus at Cloud Recesses. Neither, apparently, was falling in love early.
