Summary
Sett reaches out, no bandages, no gloves and no brass knuckles. Just his fingers that brush ever so gently against Aphelios' right cheek where a scratch from three days ago is still present, his calloused fingertips against soft pale skin, rubbing circles into it. "Can you feel this?" Sett asks and to his surprise Aphelios leans into the touch.
Aphelios seeks the half-man half-beast that can allegedly help him complete his mission.
He finds something different. Something completely different.

Summary
Reki’s smiling to himself, nestled in Langa’s jacket, the scent of Langa surrounding Reki in his own bed, the intimacy of that thought not lost on him, as he clicks into Langa’s playlists. He starts to scroll down by default, knowing that a snowboarding playlist has to be something Langa made a long time ago and therefore would be lower down on the list when something catches his eye. It takes Reki’s mind a second to register it and then he’s scrolling back up to the very top.
And there it is, staring back at him.
The first playlist on Langa’s iPod.
The playlist that’s titled simply: Reki.

Reki borrows Langa's jacket and forgets to give it back to him. Later that night, he discovers Langa's iPod in one of the pockets and a very curiously titled playlist filled with a lot of love songs.

Langa let out a chuckle seemingly against his will, and replied, “I’m not. Um, so I was wondering. You know, to prepare me for this date, and all-”

Reki’s left arm was the arm he always braced with when he fell. It was the one that, by extension, got injured the most.
Maybe he’d been fooled by naivety, by the vague idea that he’d be fresh and able-bodied forever, but limbs weren’t meant to be sprained or fractured or broken as often as his left arm was. Each trip to the hospital, he was tempting fate more and more. Really, he should’ve seen it coming:
Nerve damage.
There was a constant, never-ending ache in his arm. A dull throbbing that he eventually learned was easy enough to ignore (except, of course, when it burned like the fucking sun and he couldn’t sleep and he just curled up in his bed wishing for anything to make it stop-). It was always there, but always ignorable. He was good at ignoring his problems.

Reki's repeated injuries have left him with chronic pain. He likes to think he deals with it pretty well. It's not a big deal; no one has to know.
