Summary
The Wild and the Apotheosis are two of the strongest vessels, they can break the construct. When the Shifting Mound is a bit late on retrieving her gift of a Tender Heart, the Nightmare grows to receive this strength, too.
But all she knows is how to hurt…
And so she does. She breaks the Long Quiet. Not mentally, or spiritually, or even just his will. She breaks him in a terrible, pragmatic way.
Like the Sleeping Mound, they can hope to rebuild him from the Paranoid voice that survives. Together, the Paranoid and the Nightmare must bring Voices to the Long Quiet, and Vessels to the Shifting Mound.
Hilarity ensues.

What if, in the end, you weren't alone after all? What if your companions stood with you when you faced the Shifting Mound, mirror or no mirror?
An AU in which the voices return for the final battle.
It might be for the last time.

Warning: Depression. Very likely to leave this fic with tear streaks in your face and your throat dry...Which means that this fic did a pretty great job

Summary
After a self-sacrifice gone wrong, The Thorn is left wandering The Long Quiet with no one to guide her. On the verge of giving in, she finds exactly what she needed to see:
A lone poppy flower, growing alone in the void.
If that flower can survive on its own, why can't she? All her life she's yearned for freedom, will she enchain herself again just because she's alone in the world? No, of course not.
Donning a new outlook (and outfit), the newly formed Wayfinder's memory promptly gets wiped and is placed on a path in the woods...
...Where she learns that the Hero who had fought so hard to protect her from being taken is the very person she has to slay.
But of course, she doesn't know that.
--
Or, The Thorn gets placed in a Slay the Princess role-reversal AU via a Shifting Mound mishap.

Summary
I think I know too much. I think… I think I’ve been here before. I think I remember being here before.
“I’ll see you soon.”
The words slip unbidden from your mouth, almost involuntarily. You open your eyes to see the princess nod and raise the knife.
“Hey. I love you.”
Then, all too clearly, you have a terrible realization. For this to work, you have to believe that she can make you forget. And you don’t, if your bleeding memory is any indication. You don’t believe anymore.
But you don’t have time to contemplate the consequences of that realization. There’s an agonizingly familiar, piercing pain in your chest; then everything goes dark, and you die.
