Summary
Between past scars, present duties, and whatever new crisis the world feels like throwing at them next, Chris and Leon are raising their girls to the best of their abilities. Leon might or might not be turning into something else—Chris doesn't really care anymore, he's seen worse things in his line of work. Oh, and they also have four goldfish that somehow still exist, mostly neglected and only remembered when one is found floating belly up suspiciously close to the surface.

Summary
“You scared?” The idiot asks. But his own voice is shaking and it's clear who's the one that's actually scared here, and it's not the one without the knife.
Leon grabs the arm with the knife as it's swung at him, he twists and pulls before suddenly the knife is dropping. Leon catches it easily with his free hand before bringing it up to inspect it after pushing his attacker back.
“Shotty craftsmanship only thing It's got going for it is it's sharp.” Leon lectures as he tests it on his arm and blows off the hair it shaved off. He then pulled out a knife of his own. It's a mean looking thing, absolutely military grade with a custom grip.
He holds it up so it's easily visible, “Mines better.” Is all he says before putting it away once more and places the one he confiscated on the bar top out of reach.

His eyes lit up with surprise, eyebrows quirking up, “Really?”
She smiled, how could he have ever thought he changed when all it took was a little hope and he sounded like a wide-eyed rookie again.
