Summary
Mira didn't misread Rumi as closeted and went forward with the original confrontation as planned
Zoey didn't figure anything out (or if she did, she didn't act on it)
Rumi just took a good, hard look inward and decided that this wasn't working anymore. She needed to tell the truth, even if it cost her her life
(But please don't let it come to that)Bookmarked by Nnotabilis

Summary
"You're glowing."
"Thanks." Rumi slurred. Rolling onto her back, she squinted in the morning light shouting across every freckle on Zoey's face. "So's you."
"No." There wasn't a hint of morning grogginess in Zoey's eyes as they fixed on Rumi. "You're actually glowing." She pointed to Rumi's arm grazing the carpet fibers, sleeve sleepily shoved up to her elbow. Rumi jerked the arm up, apologies and excuses on her tongue-
-And froze.
Her patterns were glowing.
Actually glowing.
They.
Were.
Glowing.

Mira hated breakfast.
Mainly because her consenting to eat it every day meant admitting Celine was right.
