He pushes back against the chair, pulling at the rope around his wrists as Victor brings the blade closer to his neck. The doctor tuts and shushes him, drawing the blade lightly across Leon’s skin. He hisses a breath, forgetting the steadying rhythm he was coaxing out of lungs just moments earlier. The cut burns.
Leon can feel his heartbeat hammering at his ribs. A fox hellbent on gnawing off its leg to break free.
He knew what fear felt like. He’d grown up with it lurking in sewers and alleyways, protecting him– changing him. In this concrete box, with a stethoscope to his chest, he realizes just how helpless he feels.
“Would you like to hear it?”

”Didn’t anybody told you that it’s rude to wander around somebody’s house without their consent?” Guy turned at the stern voice and finally saw Jasper sitting on an armchair near the door.
”I couldn’t sleep” he mumbled “That I can see it myself” said Jasper in an annoyed voice. He got up and walked to the turntable taking the vinyl off.
