Summary
Everly, all things considered, is quite happy with her life these days - a model independent, well-adjusted citizen of the Terran Protectorate. However, that independence is called into question when an unusual affini catches her eye, they spend a lovely evening at a park in each other's company, and the affini declares that one year from that night, Everly would become her floret.
