Summary
PreservationAux takes a survey on a planet with known hostile fauna and violent weather patterns, so they have to take a SecUnit with them. On their way to a satellite work station outside of the habitat, they get attacked by some of the fauna, but their SecUnit gets them to safety and doesn't seem to be too injured. When they have to lock down in place because of an oncoming hail storm, they find out that their SecUnit maybe wasn't truthful about the extent of it's injuries, and they get to know it a little better, against its better judgement.

Summary
They are boarding now, as I stand some kind of guard before the door. The last of them climbs up into the vessel, and the counter that is consuming my mind ticks up. Eighty-seven. Eighty-nine.
Then I hear something new. Not only new words, but a new tone, a new feeling in the feed. This message is only to me.
«You got them out,» it says.
And then, «Your work is acknowledged.»
I want to cry. I want to rip something apart with my teeth – I want to scream loud enough to bring the habitat down. I want to cry. But I can't.
So instead I tap it back in the feed. «Negative. Your work is acknowledged.»

Summary
The planetary leader of Preservation is taken hostage by a corporation and held for interrogation. Lonely and homesick, she starts talking to the SecUnit assigned to guard her cell. When it's ordered to kill her, it can't bring itself to follow through.
An AU idea that's been floating around the discord! A bit like the end of Exit Strategy if it was at the start of the series. This version will get into some alternate Artificial Condition vibes eventually too.
