He squints at the guy in disbelief—he’s almost in full gear, cape gloves and all, hood up and head down—in the fucking shower. He can tell Higgs isn’t wearing a mask, though, and feels the sudden surge of nerves at seeing the terrorist’s face for the first time.

    He tips his chin. “You were jerkin’ off in that?”

    “It was supposed to be quick, Sam.” Higgs doesn’t take the jab and smirks, though Sam can’t see his expression. “But then I decided this is better.”
