Summary
An unrelenting heatwave settles over the Berkshires Hills in western Massachusetts in the last summer of the millennium. Elio has arrived at the Tanglewood Music Center to premiere his new piano concerto. One sweltering evening, an unexpected reunion takes place between old lovers who, after twelve years, have to pretend to be strangers.
Oliver kept avoiding my eye. At first I understood, but then it made me furious. I wanted to expose him, expose us. He’d obviously not told her about me. Or maybe he had forgotten. Give me a sign, Oliver, tell me you remember the long afternoon we spent hidden among the tall grass and I won’t tell her about us.

Summary
A traveler rings the bell during a storm. Do you let him in? You can't be sure of who he is, can you? Don't worry too much, he can't be sure of who you are either...or who the upstairs tenant is...or who the unseen voices are that people the hallways at night...
So you open the door anyway, because the storm is threatening to go critical and maybe, just maybe, he has more to fear from you than you do from him.
Maybe.
Based on a dream I couldn't forget, though it probably would have been best if I had. Also this is gonna be so so terrible and I'm going to enjoy every damn minute of it.
No apologies.

Summary
Half the year, Persephone lives with Hades in the Underworld. Half the year, she brings home the harvest on the surface. Standard explanation of the seasons changing. Elio could expound upon this myth to you, no problem, he's a professor's son, after all, but if you'd told him some thousand years ago that the Abrahamic equivalent of Hades would one day come for him and he wouldn't want to say no, he'd have scoffed and shrugged and moved on to the next bed from which he was just going to run.
Then, one day, the Abrahamic equivalent of Hades met him at a crime scene and from there, the myth would play out in accordance with every choice the Devil made and Elio, too, along the way.

Summary
The house wasn't much to look at, just a standard suburban domicile with an open carport and not enough windows, sitting unassumingly on a quiet street somewhere in semi-rural America. But it had secrets and an agenda - not for the people who inhabit it, but for the ones who live next door.
When Tate and her kids moved out to start their lives over, Carly and her kids moved in. The drug lord next door was long gone, replaced by a nightmare not much better - a divorced suburban housewife with entitlement issues and a yappy vicious dog that hates kids and men. When it bites Carly's young son and sets off a series of events that rapidly escalate from minor annoyance to federal offense, our beset-upon heroine finds herself with no choice but to enlist the aid of a legal professional.
Meet Thomas Dowd, twice disbarred and desperately in need of clients to reestablish his all but defunct law practice. He has a lot to offer the furious woman sitting in his waiting room holding her whining child - but a good solid defense might not be one of them. And since Carly's ex husband left her with nothing but the house, she can't exactly pay for his services.
Enter romance...or something that sort of resembles it.

Summary
"The biggest part of me had prayed he hadn’t heard me — or had pretended he hadn’t had — so I could forget all about it for a long time, most likely another decade. I had successfully done it before, about many things. But a remaining part of me had been dying to finally have that conversation. I shouldn’t have been surprised that I had unconsciously chosen Timmy to do so. It should have been Luca, but Luca would have forced me to abruptly face things I had been too afraid of. In more ways than one, Timmy had felt safer."
