Summary
The moment the world as The Avengers know it starts falling apart, was the day before yesterday.
There had been a huge earthquake, followed by a monstrous celestial being blocking the view of the sky at the horizon of Times Square. They had all seen it from his tower, Dr. Strange rising from his seat as if struck by high voltage.
Although it seemed the catalyst to the Wizards sudden reaction had been something completely different. Distracted by the dark red 'steampunk bastard' as Tony had so elegantly mumbled, the team didn't take note to Strange opening a portal to an insignificant street.
Or so it seemed. At the other end of the portal, Dr. Strange still felt a small trace of the multiversal disruption, but any sign of humans caught in the crossfire and teleported here was gone.

Tail swishing gleefully, Mollymauk looked back over his shoulder and smirked.

Beau, who had been growing tenser and tenser as the conversation went on, relaxed slightly. “Is that all, then?” he asked. “Just…just sleeping?”
Fjord snapped his fingers. “That must’ve been a Sleep spell,” he said. “Sand is a component, if I remember right. Just slap him, he’ll wake up.”
Jester gave Caleb a flick on the forehead. He did not stir.
