Apo slams the door to her and Cherri’s home shut loudly, as she panics. Cherri is almost ten paces behind her, maybe she can make some sort of excuse?
A shrrk, muffled by the door, makes Apo’s heart jump. She fights to steady her breath, trying not to think too hard about the things beyond the door.
Silverfish. The one thing Apo couldn’t stand, the one thing that she couldn’t face. Dozens of them, crawling on the floor of their house. Guaranteed, it was some sort of prank, but it didn’t change the reality that there were silverfish in their house.

Simon had been working at the middle school for barely two months, and somehow, everyone already knew who he was.
The students knew him as the new metals teacher with one arm who could somehow demonstrate every project better than they could. The faculty knew him as competent, punctual, and impossible to read. The boys' wrestling team knew him as the coach who had accidentally embarrassed their own coach during a demonstration match.And the girls' wrestling team? The girls' wrestling team seemed to know everything. Or at least they acted like they did.

Summary
Grace's webbed hands press against the glass, his curious chitters surprising the young man standing next to the viewport he was observing from. He’s newer on the team, Grace jogs his memory for his name again.
The young man holds his hand to his chest, breathing a sigh of relief, “Oh hey, Grace. Come to see your new neighbor?”
He nods, chirping his burning question, “Who is it?”
“Dunno,” Chris, right, that’s his name– “It’s another mer.”
(Or, Rocky and Adrian are helped by a merman named Grace, and in turn they save him. Now happily living in the Erid Marine Rehabilitation & Research Center, Grace is surprised when another injured merman named Simon is brought to recover in a neighboring tank. Perhaps, these two lost souls may finally have a home, together.)
