The trio decides it is best to use their time away from magic to heal the wounds and salvage your fragile friendship. At first, it all seems normal. Maybe too normal, but the snowy backdrop has proven efficient to bring all those suppressed thoughts to light. It's not just about betrayal and forgiveness, but also about those sentiments that may ruin your relationship just as much.

Starting Hogwarts as a fifth year after believing he was a squib for most of his life had been.. well, it had been quite tough, Hermes could certainly not deny that. It wasn’t made particularly easier, by his confusing ability to see a forgotten kind of ancient magic, or by the fact that the most dangerous men in Hogsmeade were now after him.
Gossip started to follow him around from the moment he stepped his foot into the great hall on his first day – the Austrian pureblood boy with the massive scar on his face, and his awkward attempts of making friends.
But how should he go about making friends, if he never had any? And more urgently, how was Hermes supposed to deal with his emergent feelings, that were definitely more than mere friendship, aimed at one of his fellow Slytherins?

More than half a year passed since the incident in the catacombs.
The friendship between Ominis and Sebastian has been mostly mended, to a point where they could almost pretend nothing had happened.
Almost.
As hard as he tries, Ominis cannot deny that their relationship has changed, at first he assumes just for the worse, but as they get older he realises that maybe all this time, the reason he felt so strongly conflicted between his morals and who he had taken for his best friend, was because he felt for him in a way he had never felt for anyone before.
What will he do, when every part of his being screams to be with him? Plagued by the lingering knowledge that their fragile relationship is one bad day away from pushing them over the edge, no matter how lovely it can be, Ominis struggles to understand how he should feel towards him.
What does the future hold for him?
