Sunghoon opens his eyes to see his Jaeyun standing in front of him. Sunghoon holds his arms out, and Jake rushes into his lap. He peppers kisses all over Sunghoon’s face, and he’s smiling so hard Sunghoon feels it in his own cheeks.
“Missed you,” Jake whispers. He buries his face in Sunghoon’s soft hair. “So much.”
(or, the city lights are freezing but jake is always warm.)

Summary
Somehow, Jake knew it was all a lie because it’s been 3 hours since his ‘last round’ and he’s still playing. Worst of all, he caught Sunghoon starting his fourth round of the day. His own boyfriend was getting on his last nerve.
If Sunghoon doesn’t get off his computer, they might never spend the day together. He could give up, go out alone, and grab coffee alone, but why should he? He refused to engage in a solo adventure when he had a partner to share everything with and it was annoying him to the core that Sunghoon is occupying his time with games with one of them being Jake’s close friend.

Jake wants to spend time with Sunghoon on the weekend but, it seems, gaming is winning. Not until Jake had something to do about it.

Summary
“It’s really late,” Jake says. He takes another sip of his soup, like he’s trying to convince Sunghoon he’ll get better. “Why don’t you stay?”
Sunghoon swallows so thickly it hurts his throat. Jake wants him to stay. Jake wants Sunghoon to stay the night at his apartment.
The moment goes on for too long before Sunghoon nods. “Yeah,” he replies. “Thanks, Jaeyun-ah.”
Sunghoon plans to sleep in Jake’s spare room, but then Jake’s hand brushes against his own and Sunghoon doesn’t get much sleep at all.

jake hadn’t seen it coming. one moment he was scrolling, the next he was drowning in everyone’s chatter about sunghoon’s answer. his name, his designed necklace, all tangled up in it, and somehow he’d been the last to know. the realization left him flustered in that restless, wrong-footed way, the kind of feeling that only sunghoon himself could make worse. or better.
so he went straight to sunghoon, demanding an explanation that never came the way he expected. because sunghoon was still sunghoon, unruffled where jake fumbled, sly where jake pressed too hard, always knowing how to tip him further off balance. what began as a question twisted into banter, laughter, and a closeness that burned hotter than the silly reason jake had stormed in for.
