“Well,” Olruggio paused as he ate some of the food, thinking it over. Qifrey might be able to help a little, he might have seen more of Custas than Olruggio had for a start. “Coco asked me to find out how to remove a silverwood seed from someone.”
A thud startled him, and he looked over to see Qifrey had dropped the book and was staring at him with wide, almost horrified eyes.
When Coco comes to him with an unusual request, Olruggio is more than willing to help out. But the more he researches and experiments, the more he can't help but notice about his best friend. When it comes down to it, is there any way to save a Silverwood host?

Beldaruit had expected to see behind the hand was the wound oozing blood and puss, but what pushing aside the sweaty, blood stained hair stuck to his forehead revealed instead was silver: a shocking radiance that cut through the dull monsoon air, through the perpetual miasma that spread across the land, a vibrantly budding sapling amongst the blackened silverwoods of Thristas, peeking out through the gaping wound of his stolen eye.
Or, Olruggio is not the first pointed hat witch to draw Qifrey a warming spell, or to witness his transformation, though Qifrey himself might not remember it. In the Forest of Despair, sins are witnessed and choices are made, choices that will one day shake their society to its core one day.

“Do you know why the rule about apprentices being able to choose their own master came about?” Master Qifrey said at last, turning to look down at her. He pulled a comb out of his pocket and gestured for her to shift closer. She turned so he could begin very very gently teasing out the knots in her hair as he spoke.
Qifrey caused a lot of trouble during his time as an apprentice in the Great Hall. Not all of it was intentional however. When Beldaruit falls ill, Qifrey is told he cannot stay alone, and a new master will have to be found for him.
