Summary
"But didn't you always crave that silence?", he asked, a little confused, "You were always complaining about me being noisy."
"I wanted silence with you around, and not that lifeless, dreadful one."
____________________Kaveh finally moves out from Alhaitham's place, he only needs to come back one more time to grab the last of his stuff. He didn't expect to see Alhaitham there in the middle of a panic attack, curled up in the corner of the living room.

Summary
Alhaitham really liked his routine. It was easy to follow and predictable. Everything was always in the right place, where it should be.
When he returned home today, he expected the usual dinner with a side of playful banter.
He didn't expect this.
Kaveh was standing in the living room, surrounded by suitcases and boxes. He was filling one of them with what little books he had, taking them one by one off of their shared bookshelf.
Alhaitham felt like someone had poured a bucket of ice cold water over him.
He changed his mind. Today was a bad day.

Summary
In his right mind, Alhaitham had many adjectives to describe his senior. With just ‘B’ he could provide bull-headed, brazen, brilliant, boisterous, beautiful, and secretly, beloved—
As he gazed down at Kaveh’s arched and unblemished back, all he could think was breedable.

Summary
Kaveh used to think that Alhaitham had mastered the art of ignoring him. The man would remain unflappable as he continued to read his worn copy of The Origins of Enkanomiyan Language, even when Kaveh was a hair’s breadth away from shattering the windows of their house with his severity of pitch.
No amount of screaming, threats to throw things, or violently waving in front of him could get Alhaitham to pause in his thirst for knowledge. As it turns out, Alhaitham literally just turns his hearing aids off so he doesn’t have to listen to Kaveh.
It’s for this exact reason that Kaveh has decided to learn Sumerian Sign Language.
or,
Kaveh learns sign language just to continue bickering with Alhaitham.

Summary
“Kaveh, come on, I didn’t mean—”
Kaveh cleared his voice, “Yes you did,” he kept his gaze fixed on the wooden flooring, “my fault for assuming you had any sense of empathy, God forbid you treat me kindly for once, right?” he trailed off with a bitter laugh, shutting the clasps on Mehrak before taking a decisive step towards the front door.
“What? I was just sharing my opinion—I simply think you’d be happier if—”
“Yeah? Well, I didn't ask for it! God, you are so cold and critical sometimes I wonder if you actually love me.”
