    Odysseus is adjusting to being the king again after his 20 year journey.

    Poseidon is not happy with this so, naturally, he takes a whole year to plan his revenge.

    -2800 years later-

    Penelope's life has always felt like it was missing something. And now this guy who claims to be Odysseus of Ithaca, the guy who the term 'Odyssey' was named after 2800 years ago shows up in her life.

    This is (sorta) a time travel AU. This is NOT a time travel fix-it AU.
    Time travel causes most of the problems here.

    UPDATE: This is now considered a rough draft and will not be continued. Not in this fic, anyway. There will be another fic written in the series that has better formatting and better pacing!

His hands shook at his sides, his entire body trembling. "He named him so because it means ‘far from battle.’" His voice rose, raw and ragged. "for he wished his son to be far, far from this accursed war, from blood and bronze and death!"

    Silence pressed heavy against the tent.

    Diomedes took a staggering breath, his chest rising and falling as though each inhale was a battle in itself. "And now you would have him brought here?" he whispered. "To war? To these accursed shores?"

     

    (or, Odysseus dies during the war. With a prophecy that claims that only the mind of Laertiades will cause the fall of Troy, Ten year old Prince Telemachus is brought to the shores of Troy.)

    As a general rule, Bruce believed time, space, and dimension were not to be messed with. However, in this case seeing as an alternate universe’s Batman had come to their universe with the intention of killing him, replacing him, and tearing down their Justice League from the inside so his Justice League could implement their own brand of justice on as many universes as possible, it seemed like a problem best not left to fate.

    “I say we take the fight to them,” Hal said. “If they want to go around messing with our dimension, then fucking up theirs is fair game.”

    “Play on their home turf? No way,” Barry said. “They’re bound to realize their plan didn’t work eventually and then they’ll have to bring the fight to us.”

    “And who knows how many other unsuspecting civilians that may be caught in the crossfire of their attack,” Clark said.

    “I say we find out everything this imposter knows and then face them head on,” Diana said.

    “Oh please, if that doesn’t work on our Batman, there’s no way it works on evil Batman,” Oliver said.

    “Bruce?” Clark asked.

    “It was a good plan,” Bruce said.
