Summary
"You're new," he says, forcing his voice deliberately neutral. He doesn't recognize her, which means she's here for Wilson.
"You're naked." She blinks at him. He's trained himself to understand facial expressions, but the look on her face he doesn't quite know how to comprehend. She introduces herself as "Sam," a name that tickles something in the back of his mind, and forces him to put on an apron. He does so, slightly annoyed, and winces at the brush of the rough fabric against his leg.
"James had an early call this morning, we didn't think you were home," she claims. He doesn't like how she looks, doesn't like the way she stands out in the starkness of their kitchen.
"Well, I live here."
"Still. I'm, uh, going to leave now." She looks him up and down once more and then stalks towards the door.
"Pleasure meeting you," he calls, sarcasm heavy in his voice. "Don't come back!"

Summary
“Well, if you’ve never tried it, that’s all the more reason to come camping with me," Jack says. "It’s less than a two-hour drive, it’s great for hiking, and my tent fits two people.”
Robby looks amused. “Are you going to protect me from bears?”
“If I have to,” Jack says, which is better than the more inappropriate, if equally true, I would take a bullet for you. “So, is that a yes?”
Robby’s dark eyes dart, briefly, to the floor, then back up to meet Jack's gaze. “Do you really want me there?”
Or: Twelve hours after Robby leaves on his sabbatical, Jack’s phone buzzes with an incoming call. Jack spends the next few weeks bullying Robby into staying in his guest room, then staying in his tent, and then just staying, period.

Summary
Robby reaches up and takes Jack’s hand where it rests on his shoulder. “I thought about this a lot, when I was out there. What I’d like to do with you in the future.”
“Oh?” Jack feels a small, hot thrill ripple through his stomach. “Sounds kind of saucy, if I’m honest.”
“Oh, it’s all sorts of things.”
“Like what? Tell me all of them.”

Summary
Jack’s expecting the person knocking on a Tuesday night to be Mary from next door asking for a cup of sugar. On the way to answer, he decides maybe Mary doesn’t need to see him half naked and snags a shirt from the laundry pile, balancing precariously on one leg as he fights it on. When he opens the door, there’s Robby standing in the darkness of his porch.
“You’re not due back for another 7 weeks,” Jack says.
“Keeping count, are you?” Robby says.
OR
After getting hurt, Robby seeks Jack out.
