Summary
Dean's been on suppressants ever since he presented. He's gone his whole life masquerading as a successful, asexual beta, who owns his own business and keeps mostly to himself. When Dr. Barnes tells Dean he has to get off his suppressants because his body can't handle them anymore, he, of course, freaks out. His best friend Castiel offers to help him through the change, because he's a good fuckin' guy, but Dean gets more than he expects out of Castiel's tender loving care. Things are going ok under Castiel's watchful eye... and Dean's new nose discovers that Castiel's been hiding a secret, too.

“You’ll be here all week? Terrible that you’re workin’ on Valentine’s Day,” Doris tuts disapprovingly, “you ought to be spendin’ it with your special someone.”
“I ain’t got a special someone right now,” Dean assures her kindly, leaning back in his chair, tapping the table that separates him from Doris and her husband, “and I don’t mind working.”
“Well, of course you do!” Doris exclaims.
“I work most holidays, I really don’t mind –”
“No, you’ve got a special someone,” Doris corrects, eyeing him critically, smirking in a way that crinkles all of her many wrinkles, “a woman like me can tell.”

Summary
The creepy house on the corner has been abandoned for years, everyone says. It's ramshackle and decrepit, the yard overgrown, the wrought iron fence bent and broken in some places. The adults in the neighborhood have asked the city to do something about that eyesore for so long, but the city insists that someone is paying property taxes on the house, therefore they cannot do anything about it.
So, everyone ignores it and pretends it doesn't exist. They definitely don't go anywhere near it, either.
Dean, though.
Dean is drawn to it as if by gravity.
Little by little, Dean repairs what he can. The monster inside the house ain't so bad, either.
