Snape realised he was breathing hard. His back was against the door. It occurred to him he should just leave, Apparate away. Leave her with her grief and her pain and her anger.
Instead: “Stupid fucking girl.” Ragged. Furious. Then: “How dare you ask that of me.”
“There’s no one else,” she said, and although her voice was thick her eyes were still dry. “No one will have me.”

Summary
The war ended and the summer is over – Hermione is returning to Hogwarts to finish her education, Ron is going to auror training, Professor Snape is resuming his duties as Head of Slytherin and Potions Master. On the surface everything seems perfect.
However, after a turbulent summer, Hermione is less and less certain that Ron's the one for her.
Ron, however, just knows what their relationship needs. And when he decides to give it a gentle little push in the right direction, it turns all their lives upside down.
Initial Ron/Hermione, but this is a Severus/Hermione story though and through. It’s a fast paced, short series (that started out as a one shot in my head) with (I hope) an interesting but simple plot and quite a bit of explicit smut.
Note: I think Ron and Hermione aren’t a good match for each other, and while I think Ron is a dingus in cannon, I don’t think he would do something this stupid.
