In the corridor beyond her quarters, other Jedi were emerging from their own doors, most of them wide-eyed with shock. A few merely looked blearily concerned, and Aayla heard snatches of questions as she darted past, queries as to whether everyone experienced the same distressing vision. But those who clutched at their chests or throats, their weak points- those Jedi bore a muted horror in their eyes, and Aayla didn’t doubt they’d just suffered their own betrayals from trusted men.

Summary
Megumi Fushiguro’s wings are matted and dirty. They’re folded tightly to his back, smashed under an aged backpack held together by silver duct tape and hope. The very tips of crumpled primaries twitch where they poke out from under the kid’s oversized coat. Satoru, standing over the boy, peering down his nose at him, feels something akin to desperation at the sorry state of his feathers.
“When was the last time you were bathed?” The question is layered with many more that Satoru would like to volley at the chick. He holds his tongue,a decision that was well made, the boy flinches back, just slightly and glares up at Satoru warily. The disarray of his wings extends to his hair, and down into his pale face, smeared with exhaustion and hunger.

Taehyung feels his heart stop. He felt his mouth go dry and his vision blur as he stared up at the News being displayed on the television over his friend's head. Because right there on the thin screen was his apartment building. His building that was glowering orange and red as flames engulfed it.
But they were all safe. They were all out on their separate ways hanging out with their friends. No one was in the apartment.
No one.
Except jungkook.
Jungkook who's tinly voice spoke up through the phone gripped in Taehyung's hand, telling him to leave a message.
Jungkook wasn't picking up and the last place he'd seen him was on fire.
Taehyung stared numbly at the headline below the video of the building.
