Draco Malfoy does not want to be back at Hogwarts, but the terms of his probation are very clear. Finish eighth year, pass your NEWTS, and make amends. Failure to complete any of these tasks will result in a one-way ticket to Azkaban. He wants to keep a low profile, polish off his stash of Ogden's FireWhiskey, and finish off his stupid Ministry mandated apology tour with the final name left on his list.

“If only she had some gin, you could–-” But the rest of his taunt, sure to incite a reaction as Ron hated gin, was cut off by an excited whoop from Theo.
“Oh my, Father Christmas has been extra generous to me this year!”
Blaise had half forgotten about the mistletoe so played his part to perfection by looking over his shoulder with genuine confusion at Theo, rather than up where he knew the plant was surely hanging above their heads.
“What now?” He asked long-sufferingly. Theo just grinned and pointed.
“Ah.” Ron sounded sheepish but when Blaise looked over at him, his expression was amused.
“Peck on the cheek?” He offered, knowing it wouldn’t be sufficient to satisfy the magical plant.
“Absolutely not!” insisted Theo from behind them. “It’s Christmas! And I’ve been so good this year.” Harry’s resounding scoff made Ron snicker. He set down his bottle of ale.
“Come on then,” he said to Blaise, taking a step closer. “Let’s give the people what they want.”
