In 1987, Cassiopeia Black receives a shocking letter about a metamorphic child, who may or may not be a Black. From there, House Black has a choice: come together and overcome their differences or fade into obscurity.
This is a slow-burn fic with a lot of politics and POVs from all Blacks (including the usually forgotten ones). This is the perfect fit for those who love the Blacks, extensive world-building, and captivating mystery.

Summary
Life is getting unsteady in Beacon Hills. With Peter back from the dead, virgins being sacrificed, and an Alpha pack hot on their heels, it is so not the time to get caught up in a confused swirl of WTF with Derek Hale.
Except Stiles can't sleep and Derek can help. In the same way the wolves can draw pain, they can share emotion, they can calm. Derek, against his better judgement, uses these supernatural skills to help Stiles sleep sans nightmares.
But here's the thing... when you let the floodgates of emotion open, not everything stays where it should.

Summary
Stiles is just trying to prevent the next supernatural problem from killing his friends. Derek is just trying to keep his pack alive (and ignore the desperation that crawls under his skin whenever Stiles is near).
When Stiles goes into the preserve to investigate a string of murders, he and Derek are kidnapped by an unknown group and locked in a basement with no escape. Each night brings new suffering, and each day they have only each other.
The two will have to learn how to lean on one another to keep their sanity intact, and they’ll have to work together to escape.
Too bad they annoy the shit out of each other.
