Summary
A few weeks after arriving, Soul finds himself in the middle of having a stress-induced anxiety attack during his thirty-minute lunch break. After all, a stranded alien has to make money somehow, right? And working the grill at Planet Earth’s finest 24/7 diner for slightly above minimum wage felt convenient enough. When he crash landed on Earth, the last thing he expected to find in this random tourist trap beach town is someone from Retsiem. I mean, what are the odds of two aliens from two different planets landing on Earth at the same time?
But sleeping on the couch is getting old, and this girl, Maka, is definitely going to need a job in this planet’s economy. Splitting the rent between two recently relocated aliens whose ancestors have a century-long history of butting heads is totally not a bad idea.

It was a disaster at first.
Soul had a plan to ask Maka Albarn, who had been his best friend for years, out on a date. He would never tell anyone how much went into this, but like anything else concerning Maka, he over thought it.
So when he did ask her, all of his meticulous planning went down the toilet. He was very uncool during the whole ordeal.
But by some miracle, she was flattered and found the whole thing charming. Surprisingly, but also not, Maka said yes.
However, there was one person whom he did not consider in all of this. He didn’t even think Wesley was a variable to consider, as he lived all the way on the east coast. Until he came to Death City for a surprise visit.

Because he meant it. In whatever soft, half-dreaming corner of his brain he was living in right now, he meant it absolutely, that he'd had her a hundred times and still her body shocked him, still she undid him, still waking up inside her was the best thing that happened in his week.
