Adora clears her throat. "I'm actually going to be taking a step back from tennis at the moment."
A hush falls over the crowd and the reporter’s eyes bug out. "What do you mean?"
"I'm pregnant. The doctor cleared me to play in this tournament, but I won't be able to play for the rest of this season." The crowd gets louder with raucous applause for Adora and she waves at her fans. "That's about all I have to say about that. I've always kept my personal life personal, and I intend to continue to do that. I hope to be allowed that by you all."
The reporter nods quickly. "Well, congratulations on your win and on your baby. I know I can speak for all tennis fans when we say we will miss you on the court."
Adora’s smile turns sad. "I'll miss being on the court more than you all can possibly imagine but—" She slides her hands down gently touching the protruding bump "—some things are worth taking a break for, I think."

Seven years ago, Adora was promoted to Force Captain. Since then she has only climbed higher in the Horde’s ranks, quickly becoming a General feared across Etheria. Once Shadow Weaver’s ploy to control her was uncovered and the sorceress banished from the Horde, nothing has been able to stop General Adora’s rise, Force Captain Catra always by her side.
But the Rebellion hatches a new plan, inspired by a new ally. Their situation is dire. They need a hero of legend. And if that hero does not fight for them willingly, then perhaps making use of some vicious, ancient technology is what needs to be done.

Summary
SLOWLY BEING REWRITTEN - 28/07 - Story stays the same, just the writing will be better lol
Catra is just trying to survive, raising her kitten in a rundown apartment with a job that pays little to nothing. When social services come knocking, everything threatens to fall apart and her kitten could be taken away. But then she runs into Adora, the kid she grew up in the system with, the kid that also once was her everything, who has now grown into a broad shouldered, muscular butch woman, with the same ridiculous hairdo. Adora offers her a home, and Catra finds herself in unfamiliar territory. She has safety, stability and the terrifying possibility of hope. As the investigation unfold, and past wounds resurface, the lines between Adora's saviour complex and possibly something deeper, seems to blur.

Adora bumps into Catra seven years after she left her, what she doesn’t expect is Catra to have a kitten and need some help.
