Summary
When Ash Ketchum tried to scan Ho-Oh after seeing them on his very first day as a Trainer, he unknowingly unlocked a unique chat feature, with the ability to chat with the Storm's End.
Nobody knows why he has the chat, nor why whenever he meets a Legendary for the first time and scan them in, they'd join the chat.
...This is perfectly fine and will not hurt anyone who has access to the chat at all... ...Right?

Summary
Sammy Oak grew up always remembering the boy and his Pikachu who saved him and Celebi, but he never really expected to hear from them again.
Given that they shared some other stories of what they'd survived to reassure him -- pacifying Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno with help from the Beast of the Sea?! -- he kept an eye out for sightings of Legendaries and disasters, but he never saw that boy with the Pikachu.
Not until Gary's friend Ash won a very distinctive hat in a contest, and then he found a Pikachu chewing wires and knew the two were connected.
When Ash arrived late, he gave Ash a partner in Pikachu... and then he gave Ash a phone too, with a Chat App, to keep in touch.
(Lance, Lorelei, and Bruno had to wonder why he insisted on adding them under stupid screen names, while Agatha just grumbled that maybe Oak hadn't hallucinated the whole thing after all.)

Summary
Ash Ketchum was supposed to meet Pikachu first.
He was supposed to oversleep, stumble into Professor Oak’s lab, and begin his journey with a stubborn Electric-type who wanted nothing to do with him.
But Ash met Meowth first.
Before badges, before Team Rocket, before the world decided what kind of trainer Ash Ketchum was allowed to be, there was a talking Meowth who taught him how to survive, how to listen, how to steal back what mattered, and how to become just a little bit impossible.
Now Ash’s journey through Kanto begins with a different first partner, a different kind of confidence, and a talent for solving problems by being kind, clever, and occasionally appearing behind people who absolutely did not hear him coming.
Pikachu still joins him. Team Rocket still causes trouble. The badges still wait.
But this Ash is sneakier, softer in the places that matter, sharper where the world made him bleed, and very much Green’s son in all the most inconvenient ways.
Kanto is not ready.
Honestly, neither is Team Rocket.

Summary
Climbing out of the Abyss, Hornet and Lace are both exhausted and battered, physically and emotionally. The two of them struggle with their own internal conflicts. Hornet for the first time in a very long time is not alone. She doesn't know what to do when she is faced with feelings she hasn’t let herself feel in so long, courtesy of her new silken companion Lace. She is also reeling from seeing her sibling Ghost, while also processing everything she has been through since reaching Pharloom. Lace has gotten her wish and is finally free from her mother's grasp. Now she has a chance to be herself, but ages spent under her mother's control have left her grappling with her own nature. A nature that she feels her mother has cursed her with. She now has to deal with her past, while spending time with the Spider she loathed, but is finding herself enjoying the company of. The two bugs must grow from their past and forge a new future together in their practically infinite lifespan.
