____Alexander ignored my protests, bundling me into the back of a cab. I didn't want to go with him - I wanted to go home. I opened my mouth to form an argument, yet it was like my brain was buffering. I stared out the car window, noticing how the lights of the city streamed like a watercolour painting. Thoughts fell from my mind as a warmth, comforting and cosy, widened in my chest. What was going on?
Vaguely, I remembered the pill, promised as paracetamol, bitter on my tongue.
"A-Alexander?" I asked, feeling weak and dizzy, "w-was that really just paracetamol?"
Alexander looked down at me, impossibly handsome in the darkened light of the cab, streetlights catching the moss-coloured corkscrews embedded in the grey of his eyes.
He smirked, "it's whatever I tell you it is, babygirl."
