Eddie nods, catching Buck’s eyes again. “Maybe-- we start with mine, then.”
The space between them feels charged with static, like the second before the thunder finally rumbles.

“Oof,” Buck grunts, as Eddie yanks him forward slightly. “What the hell are you doing?”
“I don’t, uh—nothing, you know?” Eddie flushes even more so. “I lost my balance, that’s all.”
“Mhmm, sure. You probably lost your balance because you’re still holding my hand,” Buck points out, lifting their hands up into the air between them. “See?”
“Yeah,” Eddie says distractedly, staring at their hands again. “I see that.” Another pause. “I didn’t want to let go.”
“Oh,” Buck breathes out. “That’s… really sweet, actually.”

(Father Brian tells Eddie to do something that brings him pure joy. Eddie finds it leads him to Buck.)

“Don’t be mad,” Eddie starts.
“Why would I be mad?” is Buck‘s immediate response. “I just want to make sure you know you’re loved. You’re incredibly loveable.”
Eddie gives him a look.
“That’s not exactly the kind of love I was referring to,” Eddie says slowly.
Buck looks confused.
“What do you—”
“Think more,” Eddie suggests. “Bigger.”
“I love you… a lot?” Buck says hesitantly. “Is that what you—”
“Jesus Christ," Eddie swears, burying his face in his hands for a moment before looking back at Buck. “Think gay.”
Think gay?
Wow.
Maybe he’s more tired than he thought.

Summary
“Stop it,” Buck huffs out, shuffling out of reach. “You’re being ridiculous.”
“I’m not doing anything,” Eddie insists, sliding backwards until his socked foot touches Buck’s leg again.
“You’re being a dick.”
Buck attempts to move away again, and Eddie follows him, refusing to stop touching him with his socks until suddenly Buck’s not there anymore and a loud thump echoes throughout the room.
“Did you just—”
“Shit,” Buck mutters, and Eddie can vaguely see the shape of Buck’s body in the dark as he heaves himself up off the floor. “What the hell is wrong with you?”

Summary
“I’ll be right back,” Eddie says, as his eyes snap to something over Buck’s shoulder. “Stay here with Chris.”
Eddie presses a firm kiss to Buck's lips before ducking off into the crowd, and Buck watches him go with a dazed look on his face.
“You guys are kissing now?” Chris asks curiously. “I didn’t think he’d told you yet.”
That drags Buck back to reality.
“Huh?” he says. “Told me what?”
Chris raises an eyebrow. “Dad’s told you how he feels, right?”
“It’s just been the kissing actually,” Buck admits, still a little out of it. “I don’t think he’s fully aware he’s doing it?”

(Buck's not sure what's going on when Eddie starts accidentally kissing him. Eddie's not as oblivious as Buck thinks he is.)
