   I know that foreigners visit Mondstadt on occasion to pray to Lord Barbatos: for favors, for blessings, for safe passage. But this man did not seem reverent in the slightest. This was something intimate: an act of parting, of loss.

   I said to him: “Good fellow, if you seek blessings from the Anemo Archon, you should know that he has not graced this land with his presence in nearly five centuries.”

   The gentleman shook his head. “I am quite aware,” he informed me in a soft voice. “However, I choose to have faith.”

   “Have faith in what?” I asked, curious. He did not look to be the religious sort.

   “That he will return,” the gentleman responded in a whisper.
