You grab the extra blanket the motel provides, bundle yourself up as best you can. You’d probably look like E.T, if your teeth weren’t chattering so much.
You feel him shift beside you, a hand touching your knee.
“I’m sorry, I’m not- feeling well.” You say, and he hums. The hand moves higher, caressing your inner thigh- though why you have no idea, you’re a sweaty mess.
“Will you be better or worse tonight?” He asks.
“Um. Hard to say. I don’t want to be negative but – probably worse? If I had to guess.”
“Hm. Stay here today. You’re a liability.” He says, but he doesn’t stop the slow drag of his hand.
