Summary
“Soobin, I love you,” he whispers, broken and weak, something that could be taken away by the wind and forgotten forever. Yeonjun looks at Soobin through tear-brimmed eyes, pleading for the younger to not leave him, to try again, to love him back. Soobin is too tired to pay attention to all the messages those eyes want to convey. “Please, don’t do this to me. I love you so much, Bin-ah.”
“Maybe you do love me, and I don’t doubt that. But we both know that you’re never going to choose me, you never did it before and you’re not doing it now,” Soobin says, the lump in his throat making every word hurt as he professes them weakly. “Let me go, please. That’s all I ask.”
Three years in a secret relationship with Choi Yeonjun, Soobin finally decides to stop breaking his heart and leave that behind. Yeonjun is going to get married to someone else and Soobin doesn't want to stick around to watch the love of his life belonging to someone else.

“Hello, Alpha.” Soobin greets him in a whisper as they part ways, a tone so sweet that could make Yeonjun melt in a puddle. There’s an equally sweet smile gracing his lips, eyes slightly closed from the strength of his happiness.
Yeonjun has the sudden realization that he would do anything to keep that smile on Soobin’s face, doesn’t matter the lengths he’ll have to go through or the people he’ll have to fight with. He would do anything for Soobin, give everything to make the omega satisfied and assure his happiness at all times. That’s a promise he makes to himself, one that he’ll never break.
“Hello, Soobin,” he says, feeling lightheaded at the omega’s beautiful eyes staring at him with such adoration, cheeks blooming a rose shade the moment Yeonjun said his name.
Yeonjun leaves his bachelor life behind and starts a new chapter by accepting an arranged marriage with an omega that he knows almost nothing about. Soobin hears the sigh of relief Yeonjun lets out, feeling the weight on his chest get worse, like a hand pressing down on him. He didn't realise how bad things had gotten, that hearing just a few words from Soobin was enough to take away so much stress from Yeonjun. He's always tried to be as small a burden on Yeonjun as he could be, but he knew it was never enough. He was always too much.
