Summary
Akane Aoi is predictable. He had a routine, after all.
And in that routine, entered loving his childhood best friend. He'd love her no matter what. And anyone could predict he would do anything for her. When they were little she showed a side of herself truly raw and uncaring to other people's perceptions, and when her face scrunched up in tears when he told her that he hated her for the first time, he fell completely in love.
Then, she was porcelain. Smooth, perfect, beautiful to see, and oh so fragile.
Akane was like any other guy, but different. He loved the queen of Kamome Academy, the one everyone was after as well. He loved the perfect girl that hid her emotions, but for different reasons. He was in love with the same girl that shared his name on a different order, oh so complex and hard to understand, hard to love. But oh so beautiful.
Which is why.it was so predictable he'd fall for the king as well. The moment he saw that same type of sentiment on his face, the moment he got a look at how he was like underneath all those smiles, those layers of sown together skin, fallen from the use and tear. So when his eyes opened, finally looking at the boy in front, he fell too.

It’s not that Teru doesn’t want to have sex with Akane. Though he’d never admit to it, one peek into his mind on any given evening would be enough to prove quite the opposite. But it’s just that which makes him so apprehensive. He’s spent his entire life believing that his urges are inherently wrong and should be shoved into the dark recesses of his mind; what does he do now that such desires are being drawn out of him?

Summary
For the first time in his life, Teru had felt something akin to trust. He'd smiled at an apparition, trusting in a way he didn't know he could be. Aoi had smashed all of his newfound trust with a gavel against his spine.
Just yesterday Aoi had taken over paperwork while Teru slumped on his desk, in need of a break from the world and the relentless hurdles it threw at him in the aftermath of the Other World. Aoi was usually a kind support that he could lean on, understanding wholeheartedly what he'd been through.
Today, Teru was angry.
