Summary
It's been 10 years since Sonic last saw Shadow, and in that decade, life had not been kind. He's stumbling through adulthood with no sense of direction or purpose, crumbling under the existential dread of aging, and to top it off, is suffering through an exhausting divorce process. Just as his whole world seems to be collapsing around him, however, an old friend returns... And might just be the lifeline he didn't realise he needed.
Now Sonic is having to navigate adulthood, heartbreak, grief and whatever these new (or maybe old) feelings are for his ex-rival. The strangest part is that Shadow seems to be the stable, emotionally competent one. What he doesn't know is that shadow is hiding a secret of his own- Ten years of feelings that he thought he'd let go of threatening to return.
This is a future-set Sonadow slow -burn where Sonic and Shadow reconnect after a decade of no contact. A mix of hurt/comfort, slice-of-life, humour, drama, fluff and spice (eventually). Themes include grief, romance, friendship, aging panic, unconditional love/care, and a flipped dynamic- Sonic is the one falling apart, and Shadow is the one who’s already healed.

Moriarty crossed a line, and now John wants to play. Old rules state that Mycroft has to let him and Sherlock have their fun, but considering how close the brothers are... who knows?WARNING: There is incest in this fic. It is 100% consensual, but the relationship is unhealthy, because can you have a healthy relationship when you're a pair of masochistic sociopaths? Also: TW: Mental illness, implied violence. Hints at magical realism (John sees emotions as colors, Greg hears the voices of the dead). The underage tag is a reference to how long exactly Mycroft and Sherlock have been killing people (Sherlock was 16, Mycroft 23, that is underage in some places, above the age of consent in others.

Summary
Sherlock is a consulting detective, but more than that, he's a vampire. Secretly, of course. Humans and monsters co-exist, but it's not exactly a harmonious relationship just yet. It's easier to keep his identity hidden from the public and save himself and the police all the controversy. A few trusted individuals on the force know the truth, and Sherlock leaves it to them to smooth it over when people ask questions about his distant involvement.
John is a human doctor. Back when tensions between monsters and humans were higher than they are now, John was discharged from military service for treating a monster's wounds, which humans were not supposed to do. There's still controversy surrounding the whole situation, but John continues to treat both. Even if his monster clients are usually under the table...
John narrowly avoids being the next victim to the killer Sherlock is after, bringing them together. Sherlock's never been affected by a human until now; he can't decide if he wants to kill him or get closer to him, but all he knows is that he can't stay away from him even though he really, really needs to.
