"'you just won't quit, will you?' varka snarls, flipping the smaller knight onto his stomach.
'quit what, master?' lohen spats.
'being a tease, lohen,' he replies, unbuckling the cape that hid the sinful curve of the vice captain's spine, pressing down. 'have we been a tease? to get our way?'"
basically after the end of lohen's teaser, varka makes lohen drink his own poison and they have sex

Summary
Varka felt his jaw tighten, but he buried the reaction before it could reach his face.
“Here is what is going to happen,” he said, keeping his voice calm and level. “I am going to set you down, and you are not going to stab me.”
The boy stared at him.
Varka waited.
The boy continued staring, darker and harder this time, as though silence itself had been sharpened into a weapon.
Varka exhaled through his nose. “That was the part where you agreed.”
No agreement came.
Of course it didn’t.
Varka glanced briefly toward the starsilver shard, then back to the boy’s face. “Fine. Since we are negotiating in silence, I will take anything that is not immediate violence as a tentative yes.”
The boy’s eyes narrowed by a fraction.
“Good enough.”
Or:
Varka finds a mint-green murder bunny abandoned on Dragonspine and, against all common sense, decides to adopt him.
NB: Only Lohen is younger than in canon here. This is purely for plot reasons. By plot, I mean I like the thought of all the knights trying to rein in one feral gremlin.

Summary
Varka looks back down at his exposed torso and picks a scar. He doesn't know its origin, though he's sure Lohen would jump into a high tale about its creation if he asked. He leans down and presses another tender kiss over the raised skin.
"S-stop," Lohen demands, bucking his hips to try and shake off Varka's firm and gentle hands.
He's never heard a stutter fall from the lips that always carried a smirk and begged for punishment. Varka grew even more determined, his passion and care for the younger man burning bright in his chest. He continues his trail, kissing each scar he comes across as Lohen begins to tremble.
"Quit it!" Lohen tries to deny him, glaring through a blush as he tries to thrash and push Varka away.
"Shh," Varka hushes him gently, lips tickling the jut of his hip, tongue lapping a slow, deep kiss right above his hemline as Lohen flinches and aches his back, head thrown up and away from the image of the love Varka is showing him.

Summary
Varka smells something. Just for a split second. Not the damp smell of the cave, nor of the smoke wafting off the crackling fire. It’s a soft scent, cloyingly sweet, and he finds himself desperately sniffing at the air for more.
Then it hits him.
Varka’s eyes widen.
“Are you in heat?”
Staff shortages require Varka and Lohen to take on a mission in Dragonspine. Things go fine, until they're forced to take shelter amid a blizzard.
