“Shifu,” she says slowly and evenly, “it’s winter.”
“Hah?” Shang Qinghua exclaims, abruptly stopping from fanning himself to look at her, confused and a whole lot annoyed by the sweat trickling from his nape down his back.
“And we’re also in the middle of a blizzard.”
“...ah?”
“If this one would assess the situation, it seems like Shifu has been spending more time in a climate much different than Cang Qiong, and so it is only fair that he is no longer accustomed to it.”
Shang Qinghua is so confused. “What does that have to do with—ah.” Understanding finally dawns, and Shang Qinghua closes his eyes as he throws his head back against the backrest of his chair. “Ah, shit.”

The man looks even more angry. He pulls his shoulders back and draws himself to his full height, which is rather impressive and forces Wei Ying to tip his chin up slightly.
