Summary
'Break the Cycle's' Rick and Mort try to venture farther out from their neighborhood of the destroyed Central Finite Curve, and experience some technical difficulties.
They land in a far-off dimension with an overprotective, ex-professor Rick, and a collegiate Morty trying to figure out how to deal with their dynamic. Unfortunately, they all need to cooperate to get home.

Summary
Tish isn't sure who Rick is supposed to be to her, particularly when considering Rick is a woman, and has no real ties to her family. Disinterested in the infinite, good with numbers, and remarkably poor at anything involving empathy, Tish is probably the worst kind of Morty there is.
Rick is in her late sixties, is as smart as any of her male counterparts, and doesn't understand why Tish is her complement.
The pair of them solve the mystery together.(Loosely tied to Break the Cycle in later chapters, but this fic shouldn't be more than 5-6 chapters in total.)

Rick, at the age of eighty, decides to transfer his consciousness into a thirty year old clone of himself so he has a "fresh start" at becoming a better human being. Morty, now twenty-five, studied psychology in college to become a therapist and, though they still go on adventures, is kind of done with Rick's shit.
Problem is, it was easier to suppress a crush on an old man than someone with a few year age gap.
