Happens after the Miss Heed incident, it is apparent that villains have been greatly affected and are trying their best to recover from the aftermath.

Summary
Arthur could see his father glaring down - face red and eyes narrowed as he looked at Merlin with clear distaste.
"Once this over, sorcerer...I’ll burn you."
"You’ve already tried that," Merlin’s voice answered and Arthur had to bite his fist to keep from making any noise. “You need to accept you can’t kill me… Hand me that blanket, please.”
“I’m sure there must be some method… Beheading?”
“No, we tried that.”
“Hanging?”
“I just sort of... Swung there, remember?”
There was another pause.
“I should have made you keep that dragon below the castle so I could feed you to it.”
“Kilgharrah? He won’t eat me, but if you want to torture me than making me listen to his nonsense for an hour might do it.” Merlin said and there was a soft sigh from the other end of the room. “I’m glad you agreed to help me though. Usually I have to do the grunt work of saving Arthur myself.”
“I can’t wait to kill you.”
Or
Uther finds out about Merlin’s magic, but can’t seem to kill him. Merlin is just trying to protect Arthur. They become a begrudgingly effective duo. Arthur doesn't understand why they think he isn't noticing this.

Summary
After Arthur disobeyed his father and retrieved the Mortaeus flower for Merlin's cure, Arthur's frantic pleading to save Merlin led to a misunderstanding that actually convinced Uther to take the flower to Gaius.
Now all Arthur has to do is explain to Merlin why Uther thinks they are lovers.
And while Uther is supportive of the relationship, he requires it kept secret. But in his paranoia, Uther misinterprets every innocent interaction between the two as something far more intimate, to the embarrassment of everyone involved.
And then the knights begin showing up...
Update 27/04/2024: This is long and in-process. So consider a break between story arcs!
Arc 1 - (chapters 1-32, 90k words) What happens when you accidentally tell your father you're gay and in love with Merlin and he ships it hard? You make it true.
Arc 2 - (chapters 33-70, 110k words) What happens when your father sends you to court someone you have no interest in? Side quests and Gwaine.

Summary
“I love him.”, Arthur said this before he had a chance to wince at his words. The moment froze between them. Arthur had so many regrets, he would love to just fling himself out of the window right now. But then Merlin's sacrifice really was in vain.
“You what?”, Uther's eyes were wide in shock. Maybe a little disgust at the prospect of a noble liking a servant.
Arthur swallowed down his pride. He had just thought about what was more important than pride and honor. He could make this sacrifice. 'For Merlin.', he thought.
Because life is always more important. Arthur closed his eyes to brace himself for what he was going to say next.
Just so he wouldn't have to see his father's reaction.“He's my consort.”, he added and almost broke at his own words. Lying was always hard. But nothing had ever compared to this.
