Summary
Carol grinned in that bright, sparkly way she did that made Jessica’s insides turn to mush. Rhodey rolled his eyes and leaned over to whisper in Carol’s ear, which made the blonde huff and slap his arm.
Carol felt a bit like the sun, to Jessica. Without it, humanity would die, but if you looked for too long, it would blind you.
Jessica downed the rest of her drink in one shot, almost cracking the glass when she put it down. Rhodey was dancing badly, slurring his words as he gave Carol a goofy grin.
