Summary
Quartzite dies. And then they die again. Over and over they die, the loop running its course and dragging them to hell and back each time. Nobody believes them. Nobody knows.
Or
What would it be like to actually live through a time loop, dying and watching your friends die, seeing everything you’ve ever known and loved destroyed, and then coming back to a timeline where none of that ever happened but will happen again? How would the hatchling react in such a situation? How would it be being alone at the end of the universe, trapped watching its demise for eternity just after reaching what you’ve wanted your whole life?

You were selfish. You wanted to live. You wanted to tear and claw your way back from the edge, because it wasn't fair. You had accepted this so long ago, but that anger still boiled deep within. Your blood ran hot like the Lantern's lava, bright and painful; you were just so tired. You missed the days when you were but a tadpole, when the adults would cradle you in their arms and tell you everything would be alright. You wanted to go back. You wanted to go home.

“Where in the universe would you even get yourself into such a situation?” You snort. “Don’t answer that. Of course you’d manage it, somehow.”
