Summary
Having narrowly escaped relegation, AFC Richmond dreams of rising to the very top, Jamie and Roy struggle to navigate their new secret relationship, and Jamie’s dad threatens to destroy their fragile happiness. Jamie has to learn the hard way that he’s not alone anymore, and needs to find the strength and courage to ask for help.

“He’s my dad,” Jamie says weakly, trying to explain what he knows is irrational behavior. He knows he doesn’t owe his dad anything, not his time or money or respect. “It’s easier this way.”
Roy slowly wraps his arms around Jamie from behind, pulling him back against the warmth of his chest. Jamie rests limply there, letting Roy take some of his weight. “I don’t fucking understand, Jamie.”
Jamie nods miserably. “I know. But he’ll leave me alone for a while now.”
Roy sighs heavily, his breath warming the side of Jamie’s neck. “What would he have done, if I wasn’t here?” he asks, clearly choosing his words carefully.
Jamie shrugs again. He wraps his hands around Roy’s arms, keeping him there. Roy leans his head against Jamie’s, holding him tight.

Summary
Roy rolls his eyes but stands up to pull Jamie into a chaste kiss. The innocence of the act is ruined by the way his hands grope at Jamie’s arse. “Are you wearing it?” he asks, voice low. He doesn’t need to clarify what “it” is; he can only be referring to the butt plug Jamie found tucked into the back of his cubby after the match. The one with vibrations that Roy can control from his phone. Jamie had to sneak off to the toilets on the other side of the facility to put it in in private.
Roy has Jamie wear a vibrating butt plug to a team party.

Summary
Nate was not about to ask for Roy Kent’s advice on marriage.
Well, Nate actually probably could ask him, because Roy’s relationship was similarly weird, and he had been successfully married for over a year. However, Nate was still mildly afraid of Roy, even all of these years later. He felt comfortable approaching him to talk about football and the team, but it was an entirely different thing to go poking around in Roy’s love life. If Nate started prodding him about his marriage, he might react poorly, and Nate wasn’t eager to end up on the wrong side of Roy’s fist.
