A simple gold band with modest silver trimming resting snuggly on the fourth finger of his left hand.
Hajime is only 23 years old, is only in the midst of the second year of his post-graduate degree, and to Charlie’s apparently outdated knowledge, has been single at the very least since his move to America a little over a year ago.

Summary
If he had to keep watching this, Oikawa was going to dig his own eyes out with a spoon.
They were in chemistry, and their teacher had paired them up instead of letting them choose for themselves. This meant that instead of getting to work with Iwaizumi like he usually did, he was with Hanamaki, who was both insufferable and terrible at every practical experiment they’d ever done.
Not that it mattered. Oikawa was way too distracted to be paying any attention to Hanamaki ruining their titration results.
Because Iwaizumi was paired with Miyamoto Ema, the most beautiful girl in the class.
Alternatively: Five times Oikawa was jealous, and one time he realised he didn't need to be.
