Summary
Twenty-five years it took to get here. Nearly three wicks of Lexa’s life candle had burned in wait of getting to this moment.
But tonight was the night.
Tonight Lexa would share a bed after what felt like a life time of fighting for each other, while at the same time against each other. It wasn’t a fairy tale romance because both knew those didn’t exist.
Their romance didn’t have to be soft stolen kisses in tender years or a sidekick watching with knowing eyes as they fell in love. Their love was most often spoken in two or three paragraphs before they left the scene because the responses they’d scripted for the other always led to a heartbreak that it was too terrifying to face.
Lexa could have been a cardiothorastic surgeon with the number of times she’d sewn a tear from one of Clarke’s sharper words or put in a grafts over the bullet hole from when Clarke brought a gun to a knife fight. Lexa couldn’t claim to be any better. She had dealt Clarke her fair share of pain. No, that was inaccurate. The share wasn’t even, but they’d made it.
Twenty-five years of avoiding, denying, and pining to get to Raven announcing, “We are gathered here today.”

Summary
Inspired by Taylor Swift’s illuminating lyrics, this collection of one-shots explores Clexa across timelines, emotions, and universes. It captures all the versions of them.
Each vignette will pull from a different Taylor Swift song and will center Clarke and Lexa’s love through their eras. Some will be canon, others canon divergent. There will be stories set in my established AU, some in modern AUs, and maybe even a few that wander into entirely new universes. If inspiration leads me there, I’ll follow.
These stories are meant to hold their own space. While they will eventually become part of a structured collection, the gift for me—and maybe for you—is that they don’t have to be.
Rather than waiting until everything is complete, I’m choosing to post each piece as it comes. I’m trusting the stories to come when they’re ready and meeting them where they are. I’d love for you to be there, too.

Summary
Everything that could’ve gone wrong had gone wrong.
Or that’s how it felt anyway …
A lightening storm in Chicago had left Clarke stuck at the airport overnight.
Her new flight was late.
Her luggage hadn’t appeared at the baggage claim when she finally did arrive.
And by then, Clarke was so late that she just called the airline from her dying cell phone and told them where to send her bag as she hailed a cab.
She was sweating.
Her appropriate clothing was in her lost luggage.
She sat in the back of the cab anxiously drumming her fingers on her knees as they sat in traffic.
Unmoving.
For far too long.
Wasting precious minutes that she could not spare ...

Summary
The door opens after a moment to reveal Lexa dressed in shorts and a tank top, purse in hand. She thrusts a couple of notes at Clarke without looking, eyes fixed on her phone, and then jumps when Clarke says, “I’m flattered, really, but I’m not that sort of entertainment.”
Lexa’s eyes widen and she snatches the money back. “Shit, sorry. I thought you were the pizza guy.”
Clarke winks at her. “Whatever you say.”
