In a newly restored Lumiere, lives are being lived once again. Verso settles into his new life with Gustave and begins to live again after a century of hardship and sorrow. The path, however is not an easy one, as people come with many different things to share. Most noticable of all is germs.
And Verso, after being immortal, has the immune system of a newborn.featuring - the weather, illness, bad cooking skills, tea!, snuggling, nevron attacks and much more!

Summary
He knew everyone here, some better than he’d thought he would, some faces well-known even if the souls behind them didn’t recognize him. Everything was quiet, unchanging except for the endless shift of the seasons, and he told himself this was what he needed to be happy.
So when Verso Dessendre saw a strange car, road-dusty with a number plate and rental sticker that announced its further strangeness, bouncing down the town’s ancient, cobblestoned main road, he was instantly suspicious.
Or: Verso Dessendre, acclaimed author and illustrator of the Esquie et ses amis children's book series, lives a quiet and isolated life in Vielle Lumière-sur-Mer for reasons he doesn't examine too closely. When a physics professor on sabbatical shows up in his sleepy backwater town, wearing the face of a man he watched die over a hundred years ago, the questionable peace Verso's found starts to become something else.

Summary
Gustave bought the painting on a rainy Thursday because it was easier to stand among abandoned things than return to an apartment that never felt like his own. He didn't expect the grand piano on the canvas to play itself at midnight. He didn't expect the white roses to multiply.
And he certainly didn't expect Verso—the man trapped inside the ballroom, preserved in oil and grief by a mother who couldn't let go.
In a world that feels half-erased by the rain, two lonely souls find each other across the edge of a gilded frame. But to truly be together, Verso must confront the memory that painted him into a masterpiece and learn what it means to be a person again, rather than just a portrait.

Summary
Painter duels were savage, violent affairs, confined to a canvas, torn apart by the visciousness of the Painters.
Writer duels were far more civilized, rational events, with two Writers, sitting behind a desk, attempting to drown each other in ink.
When Gustave challenges the Head of the Writer's Council - Philippe Auteur to a writer's duel - to save the life of Verso Dessendre and his family, he has every intention of rewriting the rules of engagement.
