(Or: How Sasuke Uchiha decided that Gaara would not be taking home what was his)
Two years after the war, Sasuke Uchiha travels the world on his journey of redemption, convinced that time and distance would heal any wound — including the one he never admitted to having. But when he reunites with Naruto in the Sand Village and realizes that the Kazekage seems to have less-than-professional intentions toward his best friend, Sasuke decides it is time to remind everyone, especially that idiotic blonde, exactly whose heart the hero of Konoha belongs to.

Summary
Lestat's eyes are as blue and beautiful as they have always been, but—there is no transparent violet iridescence burning in it, no impossible divinity drowning in them. They are blue like the sea in the early lights of August, and irreparably alive.
Like all the summer days are there, still.

“Armand, baby? No need to play hard to get, I’m in this for the long haul.”
No response. Well, Armand is probably out getting him breakfast. He probably thought Daniel would sleep longer. It isn’t something to worry about.
...
Daniel is really, really good at being a vampire. Too bad his absentee maker/soulmate isn't here to see it!

“How do you think he’d want it? Do you think I could make him beg?”
“The…the weird guy?”
“Fuck, no! Armand.”
“Weird Guy was hot.”
Daniel puts the ham-fisted political thriller he’s been perusing back on the wall-shelf and shifts toward the spinning display rack of bookmarks and postcards adjacent to the register. He wants to be close enough for it to be plausible, even excusable, for him to butt in when this turns uglier than it already is. He hasn’t seen Armand in months, let alone spoken to him. He’s still pissed beyond words, but he’s overheard one too many exchanges like this one. It’s Goth Girl’s and Poindexter’s unlucky night. He’s going to tear into them verbally at best, literally at worst.
“Well, you can have fun with Weird Guy if he comes back,” Goth Girl says. “Armand is mine.”
“Is he?” Daniel asks before he can stop himself, staring blankly over the rim of his shades.

“I’m thinking of buying a new coffin,” Armand says lightly, but way too smooth and composed, eyes still on the iPad.
“Hot.”
“I’ve had the current one for more than two centuries,” Armand elaborates with an elegant swipe of a finger across the screen. “It might be time for a change. I’m also intrigued by the various innovations and evolutions on the market in the current decade.”
Oh, Jesus, he’s found some bullshit AI-powered coffin, hasn’t he.
Or: Armand buys a new coffin; Daniel just really loves his gremlin.Series
