Summary
After the destruction of his kingdom, Xie Lian abandons his life and title as the crown prince of Xianle. He rises from the ashes as the "White-Clad Ghost," an unknown being who steals from the rich to give to the poor.
By night, he targets and breaks into the houses of corrupt people of power, taking their goods and redistributing them among the less fortunate. His presence stirs trouble, and word eventually makes it to the King, Jun Wu, of this troublesome thief.
To solve the problem, the King sends his most intellectual, stealthy, and 'faithful' royal justiciar, Hua Cheng, to take care of the White-Clad Ghost once and for all.
This story follows Xie Lian as he tries to bring faith back to the common people and punish those who abuse their power, and the man sent to bring him to his knees.
OR; my personal take on a Robin Hood-type meet-cute between Xie Lian and Hua Cheng. <3

"Let me go," Xie Lian says again.
"What a strange demon you are." The man's eyes are narrowed and cold, even in the shifting light. "Do you really think you are the Crown Prince of Xianle?"

Summary
“Feng Xin—he’s not going to like someone that isn’t good,” Mu Qing mumbles, and Hua Cheng remembers the vague memory of a scowling teenager. “He’s not going to like me. Him and Xie Lian… those kind of people, they deserve to be beside people who have that kind of shining will.” He sighs. Maybe it’s the insomnia that makes Mu Qing brave, because he raises his head from the table and meets Hua Cheng’s eyes. “Do you think you’re a good person?” he asks.
Hua Cheng doesn’t answer. Mu Qing doesn’t seem to care much, anyways. His eyes are glazed over. He’s either half asleep, close to tears, or both. “If I’m not good, I don’t think he’ll ever… like me,” he whispers, still too put-together to admit any stronger feelings. “And it’s… it’s not like that changes anything. I’ve never been the kind of person he likes.” He hangs his head. “But I want to be. I can’t, but wouldn’t that be a nicer reality? If people were… if people were actually good, instead of just a few within millions of others. I think… that would be nice.”
