    Peter Parker (recently called Peter Three) appears in a swirl of golden light, the chill morning air replaced with something stagnant and sterile. He blinks, shaking off the golden light, and realizes he's not where he should be.

    He's in a cell box suspended in a void, surrounded by other clear cells filled with people of all shapes, sizes, and, potentially, species.

    A high tech gondola being guided along by an alien that almost looks like Peter Two’s Green Goblin slides into view. A bald man in a tailored business suit stands behind the alien, scrolling on his phone, idly drinking some coffee.

    Peter politely knocks on the wall separating them.

    The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.

    There's a flash of gold and green. For one moment, he finds himself standing amongst the Guardians and others. And then darkness again. It feels like blinking; an extended period of nothingness that ends as abruptly as it begins. One moment there’s nothing, the next there’s light.

    “Easy,” a woman says. Her words are gentle, and carry a slight accent that he can’t place. "I'm called Wonder Woman. What's your name?"

    Summary

    Ben Kenobi expected his tutelage on Tatooine under the force spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn to yield a new perspective on the galaxy and his place within it. He just did not expect his last lesson to be so…literal. Finding himself back in the early days of the Clone Wars, Ben, now once again General Obi-Wan Kenobi, must struggle with the failures of a past he has long suppressed, while others conspire to give him hope for a future that might yet be.

    It is a road paved with military campaigns, media faux pas, too many OCs to name, good Jedi, and a very very slowly developed angst that will eventually come to a boil. An exploration of war and friendship, and the moral grays of the Star Wars universe.

    If Anakin knows one thing, it's that Obi-Wan Kenobi should not have died at the hands of Rako Hardeen. Grieving, furious, and lost, he goes to the Archives, only to stumble upon a holocron that sends him back far enough in time to save the love of his life.

    Well, probably too far back in time because suddenly Obi-Wan is alive again, but he's a newly-Knighted Jedi with a nine-year old version of Anakin trailing him around like a sickly loth-kitten. While Anakin tries to find a way back to his original timeline without alerting anyone to the fact that he's actually from the future, he finds himself helping to raise himself (weird) and growing closer to this Obi-Wan (not weird at all). They have so much in common, after all.

    At the very least, both of them have just watched their masters die.

    “What about your dad?” Biggs asks, and he’s still doing that thing he does sometimes where he’s looking all calm and serious and concerned at Luke, like Luke’s some damsel he can sweet-talk into his bed or round the back of the cantina or something.

    “Just wanted to know more about him is all,” Luke lies with a shrug, taking another gulp of his drink. “Cause it’s my birthday.”

    “Do you mean Ben hasn’t told you about your dad before?” Camie asks, sounding kind. “Like, ever?”

    “I mean, I know some things,” Luke says, sitting up straight and defensive with a glare at his friend. "He talked about him sometimes, you know."

    or, after Mustafar, Obi-Wan finds himself singed and shattered and once more on Tatooine. When it's time to give the babe up to his aunt and uncle, he also finds that he cannot. Not Anakin's son. Not another Skywalker. The only thing left to do is raise him as his own.
