Gilmore kisses him on the lips, warm and lingering. “I don’t know how much more persuasion you need, from the feel of you. Forgive the tired old line, but: is that a dagger in your pants, or are you happy to see me?”
“It’s, uh, both.” Vax offers Gilmore a sheepish grin when the man roars with laughter. “Damn it, give me a minute.”
