There’s a heaviness in Buck’s eyes, a silence between words spilling out of those rapid-fire lips that says more than enough. He doesn’t ask for help, might not even know he should. But Eddie has always known how to read him—and tonight, he’ll stay on the line for as long as it takes to bring Buck back to himself, even from miles away.
