It started out innocently enough.
Just a bit of one-sided and harmless flirting with Captain Price. The easy and good-natured familiarity was fostered by forced proximity and frequent late-night briefings over crappy coffee in styrofoam cups. He was older and more experienced with — pretty much everything from what you could tell. Price handled personnel and missions with ease, his confidence and air of easy authority magnetic, drawing you to him. You enjoyed his company, and, from the way he tolerated your antics most of the time, you were fairly sure he enjoyed yours, too.
Admittedly, you might have gotten a bit too familiar with him lately, but you couldn’t resist pushing his buttons just a little.
It was all fun and games — until Ghost began to notice, too.

You should’ve said no and quit on the spot. You should’ve run away because no matter your strength or rank, it can’t save you when your faced against this… this eldritch abomination that was about to devour you.
